  •  Snippets of my life in the French School....

    My cuisine practical exam today was pretty effed up...me no happy....

    With only a mere 3 hours of sleep....i guess i wasnt thinking right in the head when i was making the 'Sabayon' for the passionfruit mousse....

    i was meant to WHISK VIGOROUSLY.....!!!!

    ...not STIR it like a French Maiden using a damn WOODEN SPOON.....

    seriously...when i saw the finished product of the Sabayon...i literally wanted to smack my head hard on the oven door...

    and i guess thats why mine ended up lookin somewhere close to a mousse that has been eaten up by someone (by force) then puked out again...then served SPLAT on the plate......

    I looked at it i thought to myself....

    daaannnng.....this is meant to be 'Mousse au Fruits de Passion avec Tuiles aux Amandes' .....and what i've got looked more like a 70% discounted butter sponge cake bought from the thrift store down the road

    The next in line is to write a 1500 word restaurant review to be handed up on friday.....

    Having done quite a couple of restaurant reviews...this shouldve been the easiest assigment to do by far...

    but strangely enough...im taking foreveeevveerrrr to do it...

    describing the utmost orgasmic trio of raw squid, squid ink noodles and salmon caviar in plain words...is not so easy after all......

    i want to goyang kaki in my old skoolies, drink cincau and makan popiah....19 days and counting!!!
